Badikhel, October 4, 2012 – 39 dogs, 30 goats, 10 cows and 3 chicken. These were the animals that were vaccinated and treated during Animal Nepal’s health camp in Badhikhel, on the occasion of World Animal Day. The camp was organised with the help of local youth clubs and students from Rampur College.

Animal Nepal’s vets don’t treat farm animals every day. However, when we decided that this year’s WAD camp would be held in Badhikhel, the location of our donkey sanctuary, farmers decided to bring not only their dogs. but also cows, goats and chicken. It was a busy day for the staff, who were supported by nine veterinary students from Rampur college.

Thank you everyone involved! A special thanks goes to the ten medical companies which provided free livestock medicines.
